Sanyo 2300mAh NiMH batteries introduction : Sanyo, the world's leading producer of rechargeable batteries has announced the sale of a AA-size Nickel Metal Hydride battery Sanyo NiMH 2300 series ideal for heavy users of digital devices such as digital cameras because of its superior capacity. The Sanyo 2300mAh batteries achieves the world top-class capacity for retail Nickel Metal Hydride batteries (rated capacity: 2300mAh, nominal capacity: 2150mAh(min.). The Sanyo 2300mAh NiMH series is scheduled to go on sale in the Japanese market Sept. 10, 2003 for 2,200 yen for a 4-battery pack (HR-3UB-4BP) and 1,100 yen for a 2-pack (HR-3UB-2BP). Along with a rapid charger set (N-M56S) compatible with NiMH and NiCD batteries , for 6,800 yen.

Sanyo - 2300mAh - New materials
Sanyo's used original high density charging technology to develop high capacity positive and negative polarity material. For mobile devices that need a high electric current, like digital cameras and other mobile devices in the case of repeated use, it's important to maintain stability between the terminals and the batteries. In order to decrease the contact resistance Sanyo introduced a new finish of material for the battery terminals in both positive and negative polarity.
