C-GuysC-guys, Inc. announced its 20MB/s SD memory cards. The cards are available in storage capacities of 1GB (CG-SDM01G01) and 512MB (CG-SDM51201) and are designed to increase data transfer speeds for SD-friendly devices such as digital cameras, PDAs, mobile phones and other portable electronics devices. The company is also releasing one of the only high-speed reader/writer adapters available on the market, the SD-USBean. Together, the solutions offer faster transfer of media from a mobile device to a processing device such as a printer or PC. "As mobile technology becomes more feature-rich and users more savvy, there is increased demand for enhanced SD memory solutions," states Keith Hirayama, CEO of C-guys.
C-Guys unveils 20MB/S SD Card with adapter "Our memory / adapter combination offers superior performance, reliability and affordability. It is the perfect solution for users who deal with large volumes of data such as photographers, gamers and mobile professionals."

C-guys' Ultra High Speed SD Memory cards offer write speeds of 13MB/s and read speeds of 20MB/s. The cards offer real time recording and fast transfer of large data files such as high-resolution images, digital music and videos. Built-in security offers safe transfer of data. The 20MB/s Ultra High Speed SD cards allow users to store hundreds of 3M Pixel, 5M Pixel high resolution JPEG digital images and hours of JPEG, MPEG2 and MPEG4 video clips and MP3 digital music on a single card.

When coupled with the C-guys SD-USBean card reader, users can quickly convert media stored on a mobile device such as a digital camera or smart phone to the industry standard USB and download or upload content to a PC or printer. The SD-USBean is one of the only high-speed media reader / writer solutions on the market. Other readers only support up to 10MB/s, which can cause a serious bottleneck and degrade performance. The SD-USBean is twice as fast and allows for increased data transfer speeds. The product is a true plug and play device and no installation drivers are required. The product supports USB 2.0 and is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Linux.

Backed by a lifetime, limited warranty, the 20MB/s Ultra High Speed SD Memory cards will be available in December at MSRPs of $200 for the 1GB (CG-SDM01G01) and $100 for the 512MB (CG-SDM51201). The SD-USBean will also be available in December at an MSRP of $25.
