Delkin DevicesDelkin Devices Inc., maker of premium quality eFilm memory cards and other innovative digital photography products, introduces a new version of its popular BurnAway portable combo media player that burns DVDs. The DVD BurnAway is now the easiest way to backup your precious digital images to DVDs. With recordable DVD's being able to store up to 4.7 Gigabytes (GB) of data, Delkin sees the DVD BurnAway as a valuable companion for digital photographers wanting to take advantage of the new crop of SLR (Single Lens Reflex) digital cameras. New high-resolution cameras need additional memory to accommodate larger file sizes, making the DVD BurnAway a perfect solution for quickly clearing memory cards on the go so you can keep shooting.
Delkin Devices' portable BurnAway now burns DVD'sDelkin introduced the CD burning BurnAway this summer as a versatile mobile recordable disc burner that combines a number of today's most popular digital electronic devices in one unit. Both the CD and DVD BurnAway feature a Slim Type Recordable Disc Drive, and works as a memory card reader, a digital slideshow player that shows photographs on TV, and a DVD/MP3/CD player. The DVD BurnAway features a DVDR/RW/CDR/RW drive, which allows you to burn both CDs and DVDs with one unit. The portability and small size of the DVD BurnAway Slim Type Disc Drive works with the 4.7GB single layer recordable DVD's and is ideal for storing digital images when away from the home or office.

Both units operate independently of a computer and can be a lifesaver for traveling photographers looking for a quick and easy way to burn the contents of their memory card to either a CD or DVD. Two built-in memory card slots support CompactFlash (I&II), Microdrive, SD, MMC, SmartMedia, Memory Stick and MS PRO. Both BurnAways also support XD cards with an adapter (not included).

The DVD BurnAway also functions as an external DVD/CD Burner and card reader for your computer. Files are transferred to and from your computer via High-Speed USB 2.0.

The DVD BurnAway easily connects to your television or projector via the included S-Video or RCA cables. You can share photos with family and friends in seconds by directly connecting the DVD BurnAway to any television (NTSC or PAL), and display a slideshow of your images directly from your memory card, DVD, or CD. The unit's remote control (included) allows you to customize your slideshow presentation with zoom, rotate and transition features.

The stereo feature enables you to listen to music CDs and MP3's from your DVD BurnAway. For music playback, the DVD BurnAway connects to your stereo or computer via the included stereo cable. For portable listening, headphones can be used.

Delkin Devices' CEO, Martin J. Wood, senses a changing tide in the digital imaging marketplace. "There are so many exciting electronic products available to consumers today. We want to offer fun affordable devices that encompass all that the digital age has to offer. The BurnAway is the perfect all-in-one solution. It transfers memory card and DVD/CD files to a computer, burns CD-R's and now DVD-R's on the fly without the need for a computer, connects to a TV and plays DVDs or slideshows of your photo DVDs and CDs, and allows you to use your headphones to listen to audio CDs. This truly is a self contained portable device that does it all".

Both BurnAways come with a stylish protective carrying case, a remote control, a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery, a DC power cord (100V-240V), a USB 2.0 cable for connecting to a computer and both S-Video and RCA cables for connecting to a TV or projector. Optional accessories include a car charger and rechargeable back-up batteries. A multi-language user manual is included, along with fully functional Nero OEM Suite 2 CD burning software and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 photo editing software (an added $99.00 value). The BurnAway and DVD BurnAway come with a two year warranty and are available at consumer photography and electronic stores worldwide and online at Delkin’s website at www.delkin.com. The MSRP for the DVD BurnAway is $399.99US with the BurnAway retailing at $299.99US (plus VAT in some countries).

"The BurnAway products are a terrific companion for both consumer and professional digital camera users," says Wood. "Here's a great way to save money on memory, and have fun while you save. It's portable, easy to use, and convenient. When you consider the strong two year warranty, the range of functions it offers and the inclusion of a free copy of Adobe's Photoshop Elements, BurnAway and DVD BurnAway are an incredible value and the best product of its kind on the market".
