CasioSaturday evening in the deeply snow-covered town centre: peaceful, quiet streets glitter in the lights of the shop windows, an ambience to spread wintry emotion. The snow muffles the steps on the way to the Christmas party. With the new EXILIM Card EX-S100 "White Passion", the evening will be captured in pictures - in retrospect the documentation certainly provides the one or other grin. The innovative design of the "beautiful white" skilfully underlines the little black number as well as the casual outfit. The transparent "ceramic lens", specially developed by CASIO, is unique up to now. Thanks to its good resolution and precise light refraction, the precious world innovation is a guarantee for superb photos.
Snow-white winter's dream: the new EXILIM EX-S100The "White Passion" also impresses through its 2.8x optical zoom and 3.2 megapixels. Its delicate measurements of 88×57×16.7mm (WxHxD) also cause a murmur through the room when the EXILIM user takes it out of the case. No matter how small the evening bag is, the lifestyle object never has to stay at home. Worried about the high-quality designer piece? Don't be, the slender stainless-steel body protects the innovative technology. And in addition, a lens protector automatically covers the "ceramic lens" when the camera is switched off.

The white EX-S100 captures all motifs at breathtaking speed at every advent drink with colleagues: the photo fun can begin only about 1.4 seconds (with switched-off flash) after switching the camera on. All the pictures can be admired in their full size on the 2-inch TFT colour display, so that any doubts whether the pictures have come out or not are immediately dispelled. Prefer snapshots? With a shutter release time lag of only around 0.01 seconds (after focusing, LCD and flash off), they work in no time at all. In addition to the autofocus, the equipment also includes the Auto Pan Focus Mode, which presents any distance area crystal clear. One other user-friendly element is the Auto Macro function with which the camera automatically adjusts itself to close-ups and back again into the normal recording mode. Pictures that turn out too dark are not lost, because the Flash Assist function mostly brightens them up in retrospect as needed.

The "White Passion" is a true professional with its 23 pre-recorded scenes. Whether you're ice-skating or at a candlelit Christmas party, the right BESTSHOT function is available to the photographer at all times. No matter how difficult it is to photograph, every picture becomes a highlight with this variety of photo-options. Hobby film directors and those who wish to become one can even record entire movies for posterity (no time limit, depending on the size of the memory card). That way you'll always remember that first punch on the frozen lake. The camera itself provides the explaination of the numerous features: the Icon Help function explains the symbols of the respective settings to turn every beginner into a star photographer. Integrated into the camera is a flash-memory with around 9.3 MB capacity, which can be increased as you like by commercially available SD/MMC memory cards. The included USB docking station supports PictBridge as well as USB Direct Print-Standard.

The EXILIM EX-S100 "White Passion", which comes complete with storage battery, USB docking station, USB and connection cables, carrying strap and accompanying CD-ROM software, is available January 2005.
