ExtensisExtensis announced immediate availability of an update to Portfolio 7, its leading Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution, offering new and updated SQL connect modules for Microsoft SQL, Microsoft MSDE, MySQL and Oracle databases. The SQL Connect add-on modules enable companies utilizing Portfolio to scale to millions of assets and provide even more automation to their workflow. These modifications enable end users access to the data they need faster and easier, without time consuming requests and administrator bottlenecks. "Businesses are looking for ways to improve efficiency and workflow that impact their bottom line and create new or improved revenue streams," said Derek Fine, senior product manager at Extensis.
Extensis announces updates for Portfolio 7"By expanding Portfolio's file format support and offering the SQL Connect Modules, our clients can extend their DAM implementations to get more value out of their purchases."

In addition a free update to Portfolio 7 includes file format support for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4; as well as an updated filter for digital camera Raw images, extending usability for the professional photographer and creative community.

The Portfolio 7.0.4 desktop update offers support for additional digital camera formats, including the following vendors:
