SamsungSamsung is adding to its successful digital portfolio, with the launch of the Digimax 420 and Digimax 360. The new models offer excellent quality images and both are packed with features. The Digimax 420 offers a 4 mega pixel resolution, while the 360 offers 3.2 mega pixels, both giving sharp pictures with accurate colour tones. Each camera boasts a high quality Samsung SHD lens (equivalent to 38mm - 114mm in 35mm format), with 3x optical and 4 x digital zoom. Focusing ranges from 6cm close up to infinity. All images are displayed on a colour TFT LCD screen and stored on the cameras' 16Mb internal memories, which can be upgraded using SD cards. Both still images and movie clips with sound can be recorded.
The time of recording is limited only to how much memory is available.

The Digimax 420 and 360 support a variety of power sources including AA alkaline, Ni-MH, CR-V3 Lithium-ion Batteries and AC adapter.

Digimax 420 and 360 features include:

- Mechanical and electronic shutter
- Flash modes - auto, auto & red-eye reduction, slow sync, fill-in flash
- White balance - auto, daylight, cloudy, sunset, fluorescent, tungsten
- Self timer
- Histogram display
- Image play in single image, thumbnails, slide show, movie clip

The sleek silver design, and easy usage means the Digimax cameras are ideal for either first time buyers or experienced digital photographers.

The Digimax 420 is priced at around £300 and the Digimax 360 at around £250. Both can be found in leading camera stockists.
