With 5 Megapixels, the Sanyo Xacti A5 delivers razor-sharp, high-resolution photos every time. Thanks to the internal 2.8x optical zoom, the camera remains ultra-slim even when using the zoom. This technology also protects the valuable lens from getting dirty. The Sanyo Xacti A5's speed is mesmerizing too: It is ready to shoot just 0.5 seconds after start-up, so you'll never loose another shot. The shutter delay of just 0.06 seconds is also one of the fastest on the market. The large 2-inch LCD monitor with its special antiglare coating is pure luxury.

It guarantees a clear view of your subject, both during picture taking as well as during review. In addition to still photos, the XACTI A5 can also capture sequential images and video clips. The sequential shot function can record 11 frames per second. Photographers can also choose from a large range of preset settings like Portrait, Sports, Landscape, Sunset or Night. The practical 5-point auto-focus system lets you select the correct focus for any subject.

In addition to matrix metering, the exposure meter also includes a spot metering mode designed to handle even difficult lighting situations. For close-up details, photographers can use the Super Macro mode for photographing subjects as close as 6 cm away. Another extremely useful feature: users can assign frequently used settings to one of the control buttons.
