ACDSeeACD Systems International Inc. makers of ACDSee photo management software and Canvas technical illustration software, announced today the release of ACDSee 7, the newest version of its flagship photo management software for photography enthusiasts, professionals and corporate users. Renowned for its speed, ACDSee is used the world over as the leading choice for image viewing and management. New features in ACDSee 7 include a Device Synchronization function, a Context Sensitive Toolbar, advanced search capabilities, RAW format support, MPV and HighMAT support and an Image Comparison tool. ACDSee 7 is available as a standalone product or as part of the ACDSee 7 PowerPack suite.
ACD Systems announces ACDSee 7ACDSee 7 allows users to control their camera's memory card storage space with a device synchronization function that quickly and efficiently automates the downloading process of images and media. Through an easy-to-use wizard, users can select which folders their images should automatically be saved to, as well as determine the amount of space that should always be available on a specific memory card.

ACDSee 7 continues to assist users through the introduction of the context sensitive toolbar, which dynamically adapts to a user's task at hand. As the user selects an image or set of images, the context sensitive toolbar displays the most commonly used operations for the user's selection, thereby eliminating the frustration of digging through program menus.

Advanced search capabilities in ACDSee 7 include an Image Well that allows users to view their entire image collection in one window. For narrower searches, users can use the unique selective browsing feature to dynamically match specific criteria from folders, categories and calendar dates and can quickly view the different criteria selected for the basis of the search. Selective browsing also allows for searches on unrated and uncategorized images in folders.

ACDSee 7 supports RAW formats from all major camera manufacturers including Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Kodak and Minolta. This allows users to view digital images at their highest quality. Additionally, ACDSee 7 supports the MPV and HighMAT standards that provide the ability to burn images and media files to CD-R/DVD-R. Users can create a slide show that can be played back on their DVD players.

The new Image Comparison tool allows users to compare up to four images side-by-side and utilize exposure and histogram filters. Common tasks such as reviewing bracketed shots or sorting through thousands of images from a photo shoot can be accomplished faster without having to open images sequentially.

ACDSee 7 PowerPack
ACDSee 7 PowerPack includes ACDSee 7 photo management software, a new synchronization feature that allows for automatic synchronization to local folders with an external hard drive, network location or remote computer and:

ACD Photo Editor 3.1 - all of the essential tools needed to enable users to make quick edits to their digital photos and create simple web graphics.
ACD FotoSlate 3.1 - digital printing software that lets users create greeting cards, calendars and contact sheets.
