KodakEastman Kodak Company unveiled the EasyShare LS755 zoom digital camera, a sleek, Japanese-designed model created for the person with impeccable style and taste. It pairs high tech features and outstanding image quality. The camera will be available in Japan beginning in Q4. "We developed the LS755 camera to meet the discerning eye of Japanese consumers, who relentlessly seek the best combination of form and function," said Yusuke Kojima, general manager of worldwide digital camera and system development, and vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. The size of a deck of playing cards, the EasyShare LS755 camera’s aluminum body houses exclusive, high-powered components and technologies to deliver and share stunning pictures.
New Kodak EasyShare LS755 Digital Camera unveiledA professional-grade Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon 3X (36-108 mm equivalent) zoom lens and 5.0 Megapixel CCD sensor work in conjunction to maximize picture quality. With each press of the shutter button, the camera rapidly analyzes lighting conditions and color balance to deliver sharp, color-accurate, properly exposed pictures. To help keep the camera body very thin while still using a barrel lens for optimal picture quality, Kodak developed an innovative, first-of-its-kind solution - the lens retracts behind the shutter when the camera is turned off.

The large 2.5-inch, high-resolution (207,000 pixels) LCD screen displays pictures in full detail with vibrant color, with magnification up to 8X. The LS755 camera also includes Kodak's new favorites feature, which places memorable pictures in an on-camera digital photo album for viewing and sharing anytime, anywhere. The optional Kodak EasyShare Photo Frame Dock, which provides one-touch picture transfer to a connected computer while keeping the camera's lithium-ion battery charged and ready to go - can play customizable photo slideshows on the camera LCD, providing an additional degree of fun and satisfaction to EasyShare LS755 camera users.

Kodak has equipped the LS755 camera with multiple levels of control, giving owners the ability to customize their photography experience. For instance, it includes 20 scene and color modes for various shooting situations, including unique settings for photographing merchandise for online auction sites (auction mode), and for shooting objects moving across the field of view (Nagashidori/panning shot mode). Owners can also take advantage of options such as a histogram in preview and review modes, multiple white balance choices, and even the ability to adjust the reflectance ratio to capture greater subject detail while outdoors.

The camera's VGA and QVGA video functionality benefits from full 3X optical zoom with image stabilization and continuous autofocus capacities. A time-lapse video option stitches together up to 10,000 separate frames (based on available memory) taken over hours, days or even months. Video length, which can reach up to 80 minutes depending on total memory capacity (16MB internal memory; memory card expansion slot), can also be trimmed from the front or back-end using in-camera controls.

As with every Kodak EasyShare camera, the LS755 model includes the exclusive Share button. A press allows the user to select a picture for printing once the camera is docked, or for e-mail sharing, with up to 32 e-mail addresses stored on the camera itself.

Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock
LS755 camera owners can print real, borderless Kodak L-size (89 x 127 mm) pictures in as little as 90 seconds, using the new Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock. Its continuous tone thermal dye transfer system generates vivid color with instant drying, while exclusive Kodak Color Science technology produces outstanding skin tone reproduction, plus color optimization for ideal photo viewing. In addition, the printing process automatically adds a special XTRALIFE laminate coating, which helps ensure that prints are durable, waterproof and will last a lifetime under typical home storage conditions. The device also prints from PICTBRIDGE-enabled cameras and memory cards (optional Kodak 8-in-1 card reader required).

The LS755 camera includes new Kodak EasyShare software version 4.0 for Windows and Macintosh systems, providing effortless digital picture organization, editing, sharing and printing. The exclusive One Touch to Better Pictures feature takes advantage of proprietary color technologies developed by Kodak to help users get vibrant, true-to-life prints from inkjet printers. Version 4.0 - also available for free download from www.kodak.com - now includes the ability to edit pictures in third-party applications and optional Video CD and DVD burning.
