SamsungSamsung Cameras introduces the new Digimax U-CA 4, developed for the younger generation of digital camera users, with 4.1 mega pixels and an 3x optical zoom, set to retail at under £200 (approx $310). Its compact design has been made to withstand the rigours of modern life, while providing an array of useful and fun features. The UCA-4 is also perfect for the style conscious. Its streamlined body comes in 2 different colours, Techno Silver and the darker Titan silver. The U-CA 4 is ideal for recording all those memorable days or nights out, as it has auto white balance, exposure metering and exposure compensation. This leaves you free to concentrate on getting the picture you want.
Samsung unveils new Digimax U-CA 4 digital cameraYou can also take pictures at night or in dark conditions with minimal fuss, as the UCA-4 has a Long Time Shutter function.

Getting to grips with the UCA-4 is simple, as you can navigate the menu system quickly and easily, with the enhanced User Interface. The menus on the LCD screen use 256 colours to cater for individual tastes and can be customised quickly, using the Move & Set system.

Film fans will enjoy the MPEG-4 facility, allowing a high-compression, high-quality, movie clip file format, giving a long recording time and high-quality results.

You can edit and convert movie clips using the relevant software, and you can play them back on the camera. The 256MB Memory Stick Duo means you can enjoy over an hour of full-length movie footage.

Camera features:

The UCA-4 maximizes convenience by incorporating a one-touch playback function, allowing review of images even when the camera power has been switched off. The LCD brightness can also be adjusted.

The U-CA 4 also has a voice recording and voice memo function, which can be used as an alternative to a voice recorder.

The U-CA 4 uses Memory Stick Duo, which is one-third of the size of a standard Memory Stick and is totally compatible with new high-capacity & high-speed Memory Stick PRO Duo.

It allows the use of a primary battery as well as a dedicated rechargeable Li-ion battery, making it possible to take pictures without having to worry about power supply.

The U-CA 4 also supports PictBridge, a direct printing system that links to a printer in real time via a USB cable, without the need for a computer.
