SamsungSamsung announced the introduction of four new DV Camcorders, including the ultra-compact series VP-D323i and 325i, and the compact models VP-D303i and VP-D305i. The new series of Samsung DV Camcorders feature a slim and compact form, which together with their simple operating functions and other innovative functionalities, makes them the perfect digital mate for summer, allowing people to enjoy video recording anytime, anywhere. The diminutive dimensions of the Samsung VP-D323i and 325i, with a weight of only 390g, make for an ultra-compact design that is highly portable and perfect for outdoor video shooting. The Samsung VP-D303i and 305i weigh only 450g and come with a powerful 20x optical zoom lens in a compact case.
Samsung introduces four new DV camcordersEnhanced Zoom Function
The new DV camcorders feature a 1/6", 800,000 pixel CCD sensor. Both the VP-D303i and 305i come with an enhanced zoom function. These two models have 20? optical zoom and up to 900x digital zoom ratios. The ultra-compact VP-D323i and 325i also feature 10x optical zoom and 900x digital zoom ratios, allowing users to capture long distance scenes comfortably.

Versatile Functionalities
The new Samsung DV camcorders feature a color viewfinder as well as a 2.5" color 123K LCD, allowing users to handle outdoor photo shooting in an easier and more comfortable way. The new models' infrared ray means that videos can easily be captured even at nighttime and in dark conditions like 0 Lux.

The four new Samsung DV camcorders can support MPEG 4 compression technology, enabling compatibility with a wide range of multimedia including those employing relatively low bit-rate. The higher compression rate produces image quality similar to DVD. Moreover, the high efficiency data transmission allows users to achieve the best image quality with the least bandwidth requirement, making it especially suitable for users who need to transmit images through the Internet.

Easy-Q / EZ Navigator
The four new Samsung DV Camcorders feature Easy Q functions for the easiest use. No matter what the shooting conditions are, Samsung's new DV Camcorders will automatically operate at just a touch of the Manual Shutter button. The new series of Camcorders also feature EZ Navigator which allows users to control the on and off functions of all major Camcorders directly and conveniently, without using the Camcorder menu function - enabling their operators to capture action on video as quick as it happens in real-life.

Multi Card Slot
Both the Samsung VP-D305i and 325i come with a 4-in-1 Multi Card Slot which can support MS, MS Pro, SC and MMC. The VP-D303i and 323i can also support Memory Stick. Through the IEEE 1394 interface, still images and sounds can be transferred to any compatible PC or digital camera which supports IEEE 1394. Still images and sounds also can be transferred to the Camcorder after being edited on a personal PC. Users can also avail of the USB connection to connect the Camcorder with their personal PC and transfer still images on to Memory Stick or video tape. The Camcorders also have an analog I/O function which can be used in conjunction with USB and IEEE 1394 to save still images in the camera and transfer them to and from a PC.

Samsung's new series of DV camcorders are now available at all Samsung Digital Zones as well as major electrical appliances retail outlets.
