MegapixelOur friends at Megapixel.net produced an extensive review of the ultra-compact Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P100 digital camera. The Cyber-shot P100 features a new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom, Sony's new powerful Real Imaging Processor, a 5.1 effective Megapixel Super HAD CCD, powered by Stamina InfoLITHIUM battery technology and all packaged in a very stylish streamlined aluminium metal body. In keeping with the slim design of the camera, the Cyber-shot P100 incorporates the innovative Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, specially designed to be flush with the metal camera body when not in use. The new Real Imaging Processor is the key technology in the excellent usability and Stamina power efficiency offered by the P100.
Megapixel.net: review of Sony DSC-P100 cameraAccording to Megapixel.net: "Moreover, the P100 is probably one of the fastest compacts on the market today. In under 3 seconds the camera can have been powered on, have reliably focused, and have captured a shot; making it ideal for spur of the moment images", " Overall, the Carl Zeiss lens used on the P100 lives up to the manufacturer's reputation. The images are sharp from corner to corner at all focal lengths, and only a slight barrel distortion can be observed at the widest angle of the zoom.", and "Beyond this, the P100 also offers a Manual mode, which is a new mode for a P-series camera. The Manual mode provides control over the shutter speed and aperture in addition to other photographic parameters."

Looking for a new digital camera, but one of the demands is super-compact? The new DSC-P100 digital camera could be the one fulfilling the demand. Learn more about this interesting new Sony digital camera at Megapixel.net!
