LexarDuring the CeBIT 2004 show in Hannover, Germany, Lexar Media introduced a software enhancement for its popular JumpDrive Traveler USB flash drive. JumpDrive Traveler 2.0 offers expanded product capabilities including support for Microsoft Outlook. For customers purchasing the original JumpDrive Traveler, a software upgrade will be available for download from Lexar's web site free of charge in April. According to Dave Klenske, Director of Product Marketing, "JumpDrive Traveler delivers a unique set of features to users who require professional-level portability. Our customers appreciate knowing that their information goes with them when they leave a remote location."
"Moreover, the addition of Microsoft Outlook support makes JumpDrive Traveler an ideal portable storage solution for enterprise users."

Originally introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2004, JumpDrive Traveler enables Internet browsing without leaving history or session information on the host computer. In a form factor smaller than a pack of chewing gum, JumpDrive Traveler allows users to carry personal e-mail, bookmarks and other browser settings, and access them from any Internet connected PC. Additionally, the software provides file synchronization to quickly and easily update files from drive to computer, and does not require installation or additional set up on host computers.

In addition to expanding e-mail support to include Microsoft Outlook, JumpDrive Traveler 2.0 also features user options to exclude attachments when using Outlook Express. This enables users to further maximize storage capacity when synchronizing e-mail. JumpDrive Traveler 2.0 has expanded language support for the following languages: English, German, French, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

JumpDrive Traveler is a USB 2.0 device and backward compatible with USB 1.1 ports. The drive itself is completely compatible with, and does not require drivers for, the following operating systems: Windows 2000/XP and Mac OS 10.2 and later. JumpDrive Traveler supports Outlook Express 5.5 and Internet Explorer 5.5, and later versions of both applications.

JumpDrive Traveler is currently available in 128MB, 256MB and 512MB versions.
