Recently I purchased the Sony Cybershot DSC T30 model. The compact size and easiness of carrying is amazing and the picture quality is excellent. If a battery is kept as stand by then, the so called trouble of battery removal for charging can be seen as a good facility. Thus you can have a fully charged battery as stand by. The LCD screen is another marvel of the instrument.

I like the Sony Cybershot DSC T30 a lot. It takes a total of 1.3 seconds in start-up time for it to take a picture. From one picture to the next one is about 1 picture a second. It is that fast! Good pictures with anti-blur technology. It has 7.2 Megapixels - wow.

I just received my Sony DSC T30 and I am very disappointed. I also own a DSC-T1 which is a great camera and was hoping that Sony would build from there. The T30 is stepping backwards 1st) you do not have the option of having the date on the pictures like you get with the Sony Cybershot T1. 2nd) There is no docking station for easy charging and downloading pictures to your computer. You have to take the battery out of the camera to charge it and hook-up a cord with a bunch of ends on it to make it work with your computer. For $500.00 bucks Sony should have thrown in a few new things to make the camera easy to use with your computer and to charge…

Wesley Burk (the previous reviewer) is obviously looking in all the wrong places as to what this Sony DSC T30 camera is supposed to be & do. What it does DO it does so much BETTER than his really simple & out dated DSC T1 by a country mile & then some. Just for starters things like the great technological advances in shake proofing, unbelievable dark environment picture taking without need of flash, increasing battery life for stamina & # of pictures it can take per battery charge. All this while increasing the LCD monitor to 3", increasing the image sensor to 1/2.5 all the while keeping the camera size the same. And all he can find as a problem is having to take the battery out to charge it... please, but then you can't reason with ignorance.

The Sony DSC T30 is one of the best "small" digital cameras I ever used. Perfect build, handy and it does what it has to do… taking great pictures with perfect quality. I'm used to use the Fuji S3 pro and bought this wonderful Cybershot T30 thing as a backup camera. I'm glad I did !!!

I'm surprised at the comment made by Mr. Wesley Burk. When I bought my Sony DSC T30 I was in complete shock with the camera's 3 inch screen, good 7.2mp image quality, very compact design, and its ultra long life battery lives on after all the digital camera batteries die. What did it for me that was the extreme 1cm macro feature. I could focus in on ball tip of my pen and it would be in perfect focus. No other digital camera has a 1cm macro. Sure it is significantly expensive its got a mobile phone size lens but overall its excellent.
