I have taken hundreds of pictures and hours of video with the Cybershot S600 camera. It is a very nice Sony camera for its price range. The wide angle lens is very useful for indoor shots. I should have bought 2G memory stick instead of 1G. Only thing that I wish is manual focus on macro shots.

The pros and cons of the Sony Cybershot DSC S600 mentioned by N.J. Wojciak are exactly right. Still, it’s a great camera for the money. Sony should have provided a chargeable set along with this model, too. The video shot was good. I advise users to leave the lighting to the automatic setting instead of manual; this does a really great job. I don’t think I could find a better camera than this. I made a large print-out of a picture in a studio and it was flawless. I would recommend this camera to anybody who reads this. But don’t forget to get a chargeable battery set along with this model.

I wanted a camera that fitted easily in my shirt pocket, be easy to use by my wife, have a fixed LCD, a good flash, an optical viewfinder and cost about $200. I only looked at Canon and Sony cameras as I have used their cameras before. I've chosen for the Sony Cybershot DSC S600 digital camera. If subjects are still, photos are crystal clear up to 11 by 14 inches and colors are realistic indoors or outdoors. Outdoor photos were bright with natural colors and no noise was noted. However, I noted some blurring in pictures of my dog running in the garden. Pros: Easy to use. Menus and manuals are clear. Powerful flash. Don't need Sony memory cards. Cons: Camera does not come with AC adapter, NiMH batteries, charger or have an A/V outlet.

First I bought the Samsung S500, but I just didn't like the camera. Instead I bought a Sony Cybershot S600 and I can only say it's a very cool digital camera. My score is 9 out of 10!
