Samsung Digimax A502 Reviews from camera owners

The Digimax A502 is a great little camera, has lots of features that I wanted for a fixed focus. I specifically wanted just a little camera to throw around and use in low light situations where I don't want to worry about auto focus. The movie mode is good, as the resolution is full TV (640x480) resolution. In picture mode you have lots of options, and the playback mode has great features such as the ability to trim or rotate images on the camera. However - all this is useless as the battery life is retarded. You have no optical viewfinder, so you can't work without the LCD. And in fact you can turn the LCD off, but when it's off you can't take pictures. I measure the current, the battery life will only be 1.25x better with the LCD off even.

Great features and excellent quality photography - all at a very reasonable
price. As well as the brilliant pictures that can be taken, the Samsung also
has the ability to film movie clips and take voice recordings. The formats
used by the module are 'AVI' (for film and voice) and 'JPEG'(for pics).
The one drawback is the amount of battery power it uses - I would highly
recommend purchasing some good quality rechargeable batteries for use with
the camera, as it would be highly costly to purchase non-rechargeable
batteries. I would estimate a total battery life of one hour (based on 2x
Duracell Ultra AA)
All in all: an easy-to-use, stylish camera, with some great and high quality
features packed in at a bargain price.
