Panasonic Lumix DMC FX8 Reviews from camera owners

The Panasonic Lumix DMC FX8 works quite well for typical travel and snapshot photography. The absence of a viewfinder is a nuisance in some lighting conditions, but not sufficiently to detract from the otherwise quite easy to use Lumix FX8. In low lighting conditions, the LCD viewfinder can be distracting in some situations, but it very easy to use. The most significant problem is the lack of real estate on the back. Between the large, bright LCD and the required controls, I sometimes let my right thumb lay over onto some of the controls. When that happens, the camera's shutter does not fire, and the shot is missed. This is mainly an inconvenience in most cases, and is easy to rectify with continued use of the camera. I would give it a good buy rating.
