Pros of the Olympus C70 : Best macro ever, Pocket size, Quality pictures, Sharp colour, Good LCD. Cons. not water or sand proof, slow shutter lag. Had to replace lens after 10,000 pictures due to sand or water damage. Olympus replaced lens and viewfinder at cost (no labour). Still using the camera in conjunction with Fuji 9500 UZ.

The performance of the Olympus C70 zoom is excellent. Lens is excellent as well, especially in macro and super macro. In total the Olympus C70 digital camera is excellent ease of use and delivers perfect colour. Overheats. Had to replace the lens after 10,000 photos, caused by user wear and tear at the beach. View finder is useless for macro work. Easy to drop but no damage. Editing software is too slow. No protection for the lens in sleep mode. Very important if you do a lot of work at the beach. I have a S9500 Fuji UZ but like the C70 for ease of carrying. Slight shutter lag means guessing when taking surfing photos.
