Minox Classic Leica M3 4MP Reviews from camera owners

Of course this cute little M3 can't perform like my Canon 20D. The Minox Classic Leica M3 has about a 4 second shutter lag and can only hold a very limited number of images before you have to download them - no memory cards allowed and the focus is a simple close-up or infinity. In spite of these obvious shortcomings, it takes pretty good photos, around 8x10 @ 150dpi, especially in bright sunlight or with the optional flash. What the heck, it looks cool, is fun and can actually make decent digital images (you don't have to hassle with the Minox film). You don't need any drivers if you have a Mac, when you plug it into the computer, it shows up as a hard drive on your desktop, which is fast and efficient. I would rate it 100% in the fun dept. & it makes good images

It was great for about two hours of use...then the screen went blank.. now it blinks, a new battery did not improve it.. It is the first digi camera that ever gave me trouble.. Maybe it is the only one doing this but it sucks. Professionally speaking I loved the camera as a backup to my EOS 350.
