The Fujifilm FinePix S5000 is my 3rd digicam, after having an Olympus Camedia 1000(8 years ago) and a Finepix 1300 camera. Owned the Fuji S5000 for almost 2 years and took about 10,000 photos, so I've had plenty of time to become 'disaffected' if the camera deserved it! But I still Love this Fujifilm digital camera! For its price it's a truly amazing and versatile - easy to operate - camera with excellent results. Bird close-ups, repeat action shots, night shots, all are possible and achievable by any amateur. The 10x optical gives amazing possibilities. The battery life is incredible and so cheap using rechargeables. Of the three cameras I've had, and the two others I have 'used', I would rate this camera as 9 out of 10. 10 would be if I should buy the Finepix S9500 :) I love Fuji cams!
