Konica-Minolta DiMAGE Z6 | Digital Camera Review | Introduction
Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 review : Konica Minolta enhanced their series Megazoom digital cameras with the new 6 Megapixel Konica Minolta Z6. Konica Minolta seem to be getting a liking for it, their series of Megazoom cameras have grown to several generations now. The introduction of the DiMAGE Z6 digital camera makes Konica Minolta surpass themselves by raising the resolution once again, this time from 5 to 6 Megapixels. Of course the size of the 2 inch format LCD monitor is kept the same, going back to a smaller size would be impossible. The Konica Minolta Z6 digital camera combines a large optical range with the renown and very much appreciated Anti-Shake system which form the major points of this newly introduced digital camera.

Konica Minolta Z-serie digital camera
Konica Minolta have obtained a distinctive appearance thanks to their present DiMAGE Z-series digital cameras. If you take a close look at the features and possibilities these Megazoom cameras offer, you will come to the conclusion that the series was put on the market in a tactical way. The Konica Minolta Z6 features innovative functions inherited from the semi professional camera (A-series), but at the same time it keeps its own identity of being a friendly entry level camera. The design may be somewhat daring it certainly is modern, stylish and appealing.

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 - Main features
The main features of the new Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 are the high resolution of 6 Megapixels and undoubtedly the Anti-Shake system. This latter one is mainly responsible for the user friendliness of the camera. Of course the competing brands don't put themselves aside and they also use a stabilisation system. However, these systems work by moving different lens parts where as the Konica Minolta corrects the jitter by moving the sensor itself. Resulting in the capability of taking pictures with slow shutter speeds straight from your hand, you can just simply capture a macro image or use the tele zoom without encountering any blur due to movements of the photographer's hand, this is perfect!

Konica Minolta Z6 - 12x Optical zoom
The DiMAGE Z6 digital camera is the result of the experiences Konica Minolta has obtained from previous generations of Megazoom digital cameras. It remains an outstanding achievement, packing a 12x optical zoom in a light weighted and compact housing. If we compare the range with the 'old-fashioned' 35mm camera, a range of 35 - 420mm is available! A pity Konica Minolta didn't succeed in getting the DiMAGE Z6 started with a wide angle of 28mm.
