Fujifilm FinePix Z1 - xD Picture card
The features of the xD Picture memory card are: ultra compact, light as a feather and a large storage capacity. 2GB xD Picture cards are also scheduled for the upcoming period. And finally the storage capacity will be able to grow to an astonishing capacity of 8GB! The Fujifilm FinePix Z1 is standard delivered with 16MB of memory which is nothing more than a nice gesture for a 5 Megapixel digital camera. A card that size is not very useful, so I'd advice you to go out and buy a minimum storage capacity of 256MB, or preferably an even higher capacity.

Fujifilm FinePix Z1 - USB interface
The Fujifilm FinePix Z1 is equipped with an astonishing speedy interface, the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface. It's good to see Fujifilm embracing the USB 2.0 interface and I hope we don't get to see any other digital cameras anymore with less than this 'standard'. The data transfer from the camera to the computer is ultra fast which is not an unwelcoming luxury with today's high capacity memory cards. The standard delivered docking station together with the camera creates one nice looking piece on your desk or your cabinet in the sitting room.
Fujifilm FinePix Z1 - Battery
The Fujifilm FinePix Z1 offers room to a flat Li-ion battery, type NP-40. This rechargeable battery has a capacity of 750mAh and delivers approximately 170 images when being used with this camera. This amount is achieved when photographing at room temperature of app. 23 degrees, LCD on and the use of zoom. Beside that the flash is used with every second image and after every 10 images the camera is turned off and on again. In practice a second battery would come in handy. The huge monitor of the Fujifilm FinePix Z1 camera asks to be used a lot, besides capturing the images it will also certainly be used for sharing the images with others. If you are planning to use the Fujifilm Z1 in an environment that needs a lot of shooting like weddings, holidays, a city trip etc. you might well want to purchase a second battery to keep it at hand in case you need it. |
