Sony Cybershot DSC V3 | Digital Camera Review | Introduction
Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 digital camera review : The Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 was introduced just before the world's greatest event on the field of photography kicked off, the Photokina show. This new model is the topmodel of the assortment of Sony's digital cameras. It's a typical example of a brand like Sony and it represents the way Sony approaches digital cameras that compete for the label of 'perfect prosumer digital camera.' The camera has its personal characteristical design and is equipped with all sorts of creative settings.

Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 - Seriour photographer
Last year we got surprised by the introduction of the DSC-V1, an early design that finally lead to the Sony Cybershot DSC-V3. The DSC-V1, winner of the DIWA Silver Award, already had some characteristics of the new direction Sony wanted to go with this new type of camera. The Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 obviously is a digital camera for the 'serious' photographer. Just like his big brother, DIWA Gold Award winner DSC-F828, the camera is equipped with the latest technology concerning the image sensor - RGB + E sensor.

Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 - Super HAD CCD
The new Sony 4-colour Super HAD CCD features a 4-colour filter. This fourth filter ensures a colour rendering that is more true-to-life compared with traditional sensors. Traditional digital photo cameras mainly use a colour filter CCD with three primary colours: Red (R), Green (G) and Blue (B). Sony added a fourth colour, Emerald (E), to the Super HAD CCD to enable taking pictures with true-to-nature colours. This innovative image sensor is completed with a new image processor which uses a linear matrix algorithm to convert the four colour signal into a RGB format which is ideal for colour rendition.

Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 - High resolution
The camera is not the most streamlined digital camera, the emphasis is put on a perfect fit of the camera in your hand; a firm grip is applied for it. The dimensions may be called rather compact. The first thing that stands out, of course, is the 7 megapixels of resolution. The process to high resolutions was speeded up over the last few years and steps from 5 to 7 Megapixel resolutions were not avoided. Beside the high quality resolution the Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 offers various Sony features like Sony's NightFraming and NightShot, and also the famous Hologram Autofocus technology. The Sony DSC-V3 was in our possession for a short period and we put it to practise. Our experiences are taken down in the following digital camera review.
