Samsung NX10 | Digital Camera Review | Storage and Energy
The Samsung NX10 is a compact system camera, so it’s logical that SD format flash memory cards are used as the storage medium for the photos. Of course the Samsung NX10 also supports SDHC, which allows it to reach a maximum storage capacity of 32GB.

Samsung NX10 RAW & JPEG files
The Samsung NX10 produces quite large files due to the large amount of pixels, especially if you shoot in RAW, or as in my case, in RAW and JPEG at the same time. The JPEG files are basically usable, but with RAW you have more possibilities to correct mistakes. The amount of settings in compression is great and you also have an acceptable amount of choices in terms of dimensions and you can choose from two image ratios. That way you can influence the amount of photos that fit onto a card. I always choose for the highest quality. In that case a card with a minimum of 4GB in storage space is not exaggerated.

Considering 1GB storage capacity:
14 Megapixels - 4592x3056 pixels - 3:2 - RAW - 35 pictures

Reviews Samsung cameras
Store photos on the Samsung NX10
You can also shoot several photos in a row with the Samsung NX10: a maximum of three frames per second. About 30 pictures fit in the buffer. Those may not be the best achievements, but for a camera in this class, in my eyes, it is excellent. It is too bad that writing away photos is a bit slow. You can keep shooting quickly, one after the other, which depends on the buffer, but you have to wait a bit too long, in my opinion, before you can review the photos. This point could use some improvement.

Samsung NX10 card reader
If you hesitate to transfer files through the Samsung NX10, you may choose to use a card reader. A card reader is handy for your digital workflow if you want to avoid connecting the camera all the time, or want to be able to keep the workflow going whilst the memory card transfers pictures. The USB 2.0 Hi-Speed card reader of SanDisk is one of the fastest available and provides data transfers of maximum 20MB/sec.

Camera charger

Samsung NX10 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery
As energy source the Samsung uses a Lithium Ion battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh. That is a fine battery; you can shoot about 400 pictures or shoot 200 minutes of video with it, according to Samsung. In this aspect the Samsung NX10 is not a high flyer. Moreover, in practice it seems that the amount of photos is even less. I think about 200 photos maximum. That is a bit tight, and especially if you are on the go all day, it is advisable to bring along an extra battery.
