Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ10 | Digital Camera Review | Conclusion
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 megazoom camera review
The Panasonic TZ10 camera has had to allow a few generations to pass by, and that brings us to the fact that Panasonic has little left to improve with such successful models as the TZ7 and TZ5 cameras, both predecessors to the Panasonic DMC-TZ10. Panasonic did not escape increasing the amount of effective pixels, but for the consumer, the difference between 12 and 10 megapixels is negligible. It hasn’t done any harm, in any case, so we will turn a blind eye to the increase. The ingredients for a high-quality mega zoom camera were already available; it is now just up to Panasonic to polish away the small flaws of the previous models.

Panasonic Lumix TZ10 with GPS function
And besides improving the small drawbacks that played a small role in the previous generation, Panasonic introduces GPS in its mega zoom camera. The Panasonic TZ10 has GPS, and although this is not interesting for everyone, it will certainly appeal to the Geotagger or fanatic Blogger. The GPS works without any hindrances that are worth mentioning. We see GPS as a fun and in some cases handy extra function, and it makes the Panasonic DMC-TZ10 an even stronger combination than its predecessor already was.

Panasonic DMC-TZ10 offers excellent image quality
The image quality is excellent; it has a fine color reproduction with natural colors. The resolution is up to standard and it does not need to be increased as far as we are concerned. The ISO is a bit sticky at 800 ISO, and with the higher settings the image quality is affected, which we think is not worthy of the TZ10. We see the higher ISO values as an emergency, so that if there is a need for it, you can still take a photograph. The modernized optical image stabilizer performs well and although it is hard to see how much and in which aspect the stabilizer is actually better, in practice the images prove its effective value. The 12x optical zoom is a very strong combination with the Power O.I.S.

Panasonic Lumix TZ10 review conclusion
Whether or not we find GPS to be a striking feature, the quality of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZT10 is high and Panasonic has managed to deliver an excellent digital mega zoom camera once again. The extensive setting possibilities support each other optimally and the combination between software and hardware forms a powerful package which gives you a fine camera for all-round photography. Whether you choose the automatic or manual settings, in both cases you will shoot creatively with the Panasonic Lumix TZ10!
