|Canon IXUS 110 IS zoom lens
The front of the camera has been beautifully designed, containing nicely curved edges to both sides, and even the top and bottom side curl over the top and bottom plate. The 4x optical zoom lens carries a silver-colored line, making it look quite chic. The Canon Digital IXUS 110 IS camera truly is an eye-catcher. The zoom lens is perfectly protected by a built-in cover. On the right side of the lens sits a thin evt: slim internal flash, while a LED for the AF assist lamp and an indicator for the self-timer are found left from the lens. The type and brand name is placed vertically on the Canon Digital 110IS, quite stunning indeed, which ensures it is easy to read when the camera is carried around your neck.
Canon memory & battery compartment
The top side of the Canon IXUS 110IS contains the shutter release button encircled by a ring to operate the zoom lens. The on / off switch sits right next to a button to switch between video and photo mode. The rear of the Canon Digital IXUS IS contains a compartment for the Li-Ion battery and the SD / SDHC memory card. The battery is kept inside by a safety catch. A universal metal tripod connector is found right next to the compartment. It won't let you change the battery or the memory card when the camera is mounted on a tripod. The side of the Canon IXUS 110 IS digital camera offers room for the necessary interfaces. A true HDMI interface (out) provides high quality reproduction when the camera is connected to a Full HD TV set for example. The combined USB / AV interface enables data transfer and other reproduction possibilities.
|Canon Digital IXUS 110 IS camera design
The back of the IXUS 110 looks quite empty. In fact, there are only a few other cameras with such a small amount of buttons on the back, which is supposed to be the control center. Yet, Canon has succeeded in keeping the same functionality by creating a more intelligent multi-controller. This is a smart move ensuring the camera remains very well-structured. The 2.8 inch monitor features an average resolution of 230,000 pixels.
