Panasonic Lumix DMC FX35 | Digital Camera Review | Storage and Energy
Panasonic are one of the founders of the Secure Digital format and the succeeding format: SDHC. It is thus no surprise at all that the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX35 supports both SD and SDHC which offer a great deal of storage capacity. SD stores up to 2GB and SDHC up to 32GB of storage capacity, which will suffice for even the most active photographer. The Panasonic Lumix FX35 features an internal memory of 50MB; however, this does not last for shooting an entire holiday, of course. One picture in the highest resolution and the lowest compression has a size of approximately 5MB.

Panasonic Lumix FX35 - SD / SDHC memory card
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 features a 10 Megapixel image sensor increasing the amount of data to be processed and stored. It should not be a problem for the consumer to find a high storage capacity memory card, since the memory market is constantly increasing the storage capacity and lowering the prices. We advise to go for a 1GB storage capacity at the least or to go for the new SDHC memory card with a minimum storage capacity of 4GB.

Panasonic FX35 features a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface
Panasonic has adopted the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface as a standard. It is remarkable that Panasonic took the initiative on many issues, for example a wide angle zoom lens and optical stabilizer, and ignored something as important as the USB interface. Thankfully, the latest Panasonic assortment features the Hi-Speed version guaranteeing the highest speed. If you own a computer with a fast USB 2.0 High Speed interface, you will also be able to use a fast USB 2.0 High Speed card reader without the need to connect the camera to the pc.

Panasonic DMW-BCE10E 3.6V 1000mAh battery
The Panasonic FX35 compact camera gets its energy from a Panasonic DMW-BCE10E 3.6V 1000mAh battery. According to CIPA standard, the capacity should offer room to approximately 290 pictures or around 145 minutes. Charging the battery through a charger takes around 120 minutes. The average user will probably settle for this. However, in situations where more pictures will be taken, holidays, parties etc. a second battery is recommended.
