|Panasonic L10 SLR - Good hand-fit
Most striking about the Panasonic Lumix L10 is the amount of buttons. At first glance they look chaotically positioned and I kept pressing the four buttons placed in a circle with my right hand. The Panasonic is a rather compact camera and at times like that it really shows. The hand-fit and the weight however are pleasant. The camera feels solid and steady. This kind of first impression usually influences the judgement as far as ease of handling is concerned.
Panasonic Lumix L10 - Huge lens
The front of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 is dominated by the huge lens. Digital SLR camera enthusiasts will love this combination. The camera as well as the lens look very solid. The only thing I pity is that the large lens does not show one of the advantages of the FourThirds System; the possibility to build very compact and small lenses. Olympus do show this with their compact lenses. At the same time the quality of the Leica lens is unsurpassed. It is just a matter of taking your pick.
Panasonic L10 DSLR - Free-angle LCD screen
One feature that cannot be missed is the LCD screen on the back of the camera. It is not that large, compared to other SLR cameras that are being equipped with a 3inch screen, but it does offer something that is unique on a DSLR; it is fully free-angle. You can twist and turn it as you like and also flip it away. Amazing and unique! One who works with this combination will spontaneously embrace the Panasonic L10.
