|Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 digital camera review : At the end of October Sony introduced one of her latest assets: the completely newly designed Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 camera. This striking model has every potential to start a completely new line of design cameras from the stable of Sony. The Cybershot DSC-T1 puts in a high stake: it sets the tone with a resolution of 5 Megapixels and a built-in 3x optical zoom. LetsGoDigital has this pre-production model, of which there is only 1 in Holland at this moment, in the house for a short while. We take the opportunity to give you an enhanced first impression of this new showpiece from Sony.
Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 - Pre-production
The following article is based on a pre-production model camera, the impressions that I got from this digital camera and the images that are reproduced are therefore based on a camera that has not reached the final status yet.
Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 - Features
The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 offers a new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with a 3x optical zoom, an impressive 2.5-inch hybrid LCD screen and a streamlined stainless steel body. Although the DSC-T1 is the smallest Cyber-shot model ever, the camera is equipped with the latest technology. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 offers a powerful CCD with 5.1 effective Megapixels and a new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with a 3x optical zoom. This innovative zoom lens is especially designed to fit in compact slim cameras and it fits completely inside the body of the camera without sticking out. The fact of this ultra slim model and the built-in optical zoom must make Minolta think! They were the first ones to introduce a similar model. But until now these Minolta's haven't reached more than the amount of 3.2 Megapixels.
Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 - Real Imaging Processor
Beside the new design the Sony DSC-T1 also features Sony's latest Real Imaging Processor that delivers clearer images at a higher processing speed using 30% less energy. Also the camera has a shorter start-up time. When the lens cap is pushed down the camera is ready to shoot in only a bit over a second! In short: the ingredients are there so it is time for an extensive first impression!
