 Pentax Optio L20 : Pentax Russia launched a new digital camera; the Pentax Optio L20. The Pentax Optio L20 is slimly designed for great portability. The Pentax L20 will not be available worldwide, this depends on the local Pentax substitutes whether they would like to add the Pentax Optio L20 to their assortment of Pentax digital compact cameras or not. The Pentax L20 features 7.0 effective Megapixel and includes extra features to make it easier to use, including a Blur Reduction mode, which reduces camera shake and subject blurring, and Face Recognition AF & AE, a function that simplifies portrait-taking by automatically detecting the position of the subject’s face and adjusting the focus and exposure based on the detected position.

 Pentax L20 camera - Anti Shake
The Pentax Optio L20 features a Blur Reduction mode; some kind of Anti shake mode that gives priority to faster shutter speeds and higher ISO settings (up to 1600 ISO). When this mode is activated the image recording size is fixed at 4 Megapixels (2304 x 1728 pixels). The higher sensitivities permit faster shutter speeds that effectively reduce not just camera shake but also blurring caused by moving subjects. The Anti Blur mode is perfect for conditions such as night scenes and indoor sporting events.
Pentax Optio L20 compact camera - Portrait photography
The Pentax L20 digital camera includes the Face Recognition AF & AE mode. This function uses the Face Tracker face-recognition technology from FotoNation. The Face Recognition allows you to take brighter photos of people with better focused faces free of shadows caused by exposing for the background or for the colours of clothing. This function automatically detects the position of the subject’s anywhere in the photo frame and then adjusts the focus and optimizes the exposure for the detected position.
Pentax L20 digital camera - Zoom lens
The Pentax Optio L20 has a ultra thin body which makes it easy to carry with you. Despite it's compact design the Pentax L20 incorporates a a 3X internal optical zoom lens. This was made possible by using Pentax' original Sliding Lens System and high-density mounting technology. Pentax's proprietary lens system offsets the central lens groups from the optical lens axis and houses the lens in two steps in the lens cylinder for minimized overall body depth.
