Steve's DigicamsKodak Z612 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Kodak EasyShare Z612 digital camera. The 6 Megapixel Kodak Z612 digital camera is a compact camera boasting a 12X Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optical zoom lens with Kodak's image stabilization technology for sharp shots and steady videos. Built-in image stabilization technology reduces on-screen shaking from unintentional hand and camera movement. The camera also offers an optical zoom feature for video including auto focus. A large 2.5-inch, high-resolution indoor/outdoor LCD screen allows previewing of shots or reviewing pictures stored in 27 MB internal memory or on an optional SD/MMC card.
Kodak Z612 review at Steves DigicamsKodak Z612 - Design & Optical zoom
According to Steve Digicams: "The Schneider Kreuznach Variogon 12x optical zoom lens is one of the first things you'll notice when you pick up this camera. This is an impressive piece of glass, producing sharp images throughout its 35mm-420mm (35mm equivalent) zoom range. I did notice moderate barrel distortion and pin cushioning present at the wide-angle and telephoto extremes respectively, as well as traces of chromatic aberration; however, this is typical for "super zoom" models."

Kodak EasyShare Z612 review conclusion - Steves Digicams
Steve continues: "I was very pleased with our image quality results when using the 6-megapixel Fine mode. Our outdoor images showed nice exposure, with beautiful sky detail, and colors are richly saturated. Thanks to its versatile zoom range, you'll have no problems composing your shots; no more zooming with your feet. The Z612 also did very well with people shots. Both our indoor and outdoor portraits are sharp and display natural looking skin tones. The flash also produced good results." You want to learn more about the Kodak EasyShare digital camera?
