IFA International Trade Fair Market : As the world's leading fair for the consumer electronics sector, the IFA - Consumer Electronics Unlimited - is consolidating its position on the international trade fair market. The IFA continues to set the pace and enhance the effectiveness of the worldwide CE industry. It is now an annual event, a decision that has met with the approval of domestic and international exhibitors alike. Investments by exhibitors exceed all expectations, and almost all major industrial groups in the CE sector are represented at the IFA. Following the success of the IFA 2005, when the numbers of exhibitors and the display area broke all existing records, several firms have now increased their stand areas.

For example, harman consumer group international is now in the larger Hall 18. Other companies with the potential for further expansion include AMD, ATI, JVC, O2, Sony Ericsson and Toshiba. Well-known names such as Acer, Beko, Daewoo, Deutsche Telekom, Fujitsu Siemens, Grundig, Haier, Hisense, LG Electronics, Loewe, Navigon, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Tom Tom and Vestel are also among the leading exhibitors at the IFA 2006.
IFA 2006 event - Continuity brings stability
The organisers, Gesellschaft fur Unterhaltungs- und Kommunikationselektronik (gfu) and Messe Berlin, are convinced that the decision to hold this event annually will enable the IFA to accelerate the ordering process and make the marketing of new products even more professional. According to Dr. Christian Goke, COO of Messe Berlin: "Over the years the volume of business has tended to fluctuate. A greater degree of concentration will now take place and above all this will lead to more continuity in business. The fact that business can now be concluded every year in the autumn will have a major impact on companies' internal processes. An annual IFA will ensure a different degree of stability for the major companies and their sales processes."
IFA 2006 Messe Berlin - Worldwide CE industry
By ensuring that the customary scope offered by the CE sector is now displayed annually, gfu and Messe Berlin have set themselves the objective of establishing a recognised focal point within and on behalf of the industry on a yearly basis. For the general public and trade visitors alike the IFA will become a kind of department store with highly trained sales staff. Visitors will have no inhibitions about examining products, they will have countless opportunities to compare different brands, and they will find this event invaluable in helping them to reach a decision, as well as providing a realistic test market for manufacturers.
