Kodak EasyShare V610 review at Photoxels

PhotoxelsKodak EasyShare V610 review at Photoxels : DIWA member Yin Wong from Photoxels has reviewed the Kodak EasyShare V610 digital camera. The Kodak V610 camera incorporates a 6 Megapixel image sensor and features an innovative Kodak Retina Dual Lens technology resulting into a 10x optical zoom. The Kodak EasyShare V610 camera precisely combines two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass, non-protruding prism lenses to deliver such a long zoom range. In addition to its dual lens design and wireless capabilities, the camera includes multiple advanced features to enhance the photography experience, including Kodak Perfect Touch Technology. Built-in, video-specific image stabilization technology reduces on-screen shaking.
Kodak EasyShare V610 review at PhotoxelsKodak V610 camera - Image quality
According to Yin Wong: "We find the overall image quality of the Kodak V610 to be good to very good with low noise at ISO 64, but we would have preferred images to retain more details. As you move up to the higher ISOs, images look smudged probably due to aggressive noise reduction as well as the high image compression. The Kodak V610 produces images that are rich in colors straight out of the camera. More advanced photographers might object to the high color saturation."

Kodak EasyShare V610 - Panorama pictures
Yin Wong continues: "The Kodak V610 retains the nifty Panorama feature from the V570 that allows you to take from 2 to 3 images and create a panorama picture in-camera. I usually do not bother with panorama pictures in software because it is such a bother, but it's easy and fun with the V610. Note, though, that it does not save the images separately but stitch them together and saves them as one panoramic image. You also have to wait for the stitching to be completed before you switch off the camera -- or lose your picture (that must be a software/hardware bug)!" About Photoxels
Photoxels was founded in 2002 by MyKhanh Wong (Owner, Editor) and Yin Wong (Contributing Editor), the editors behind Photoxels. In 2001, we went on the Web to learn about digital cameras like everyone else. But it seems that the more we read about digital cameras, the more reviews we scrutinized, and the more we searched... the more confused we became. If we were somewhat confused about which digital cameras to buy before visiting the digital camera review sites, we became even more confused after reading most of the (very) technical reviews. Slowly, one article and one review at a time, we pieced together what were really important to know about digital cameras and clarified many of the digital photography-related terminology. We decided to share what we learned on the Internet, and Photoxels was born.
