Olympus FE-115 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Olympus FE-115 camera. The Olympus FE115 boasts 5.0 million pixels and includes a 2.8x optical zoom for added versatility. The 2.8x zoom lens enhances shooting flexibility due to its capability to bring far away subjects in closer. In combination with the 4x digital zoom, the Olympus FE-115 camera can even achieve an overall magnification of more than 11x. Thanks to PictBridge support this model can be connected directly to compatible printers (e.g. the Olympus P-11, which prints in just 33 seconds), eliminating the need to go via a computer. In Super Macro mode, images may be captured from as little as 2cm away.

Olympus FE115 camera - Dimensions
According to Steve Digicams: "While its boxy dimensions are far from stylish, the Olympus FE-115's additional depth provides a quite comfortable grip. Its controls are well-placed both for ease of use and to avoid accidental use. The FE-115's menu system is minimal but effective; there aren't a lot of settings on this camera, and the menus are very simple as a result. The Olympus FE-115's only viewfinder is a 1.5-inch LCD, quite small considering the industry trend toward ever larger LCD's."
Olympus FE-115 review conclusion - Steves Digicams
Steve continues: "Image quality was quite good considering the FE-115's low price; you'll be pleased with the 4x6-inch prints that it will typically be called on to produce. Its 5-megapixel SHQ images are adequately sharp with good color saturation, exposure and white balance. Noise levels were low when ambient lighting permitted the camera to keep a low ISO setting. Indoors portraits were pleasing, with red eye reduction fairly effective at close range." You want to learn more about the Olympus digital camera?
