KingstonPhotographer Peter Read Miller on Kingston's Icons : Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, announced that award-winning sports photographer Peter Read Miller will be the featured photographer on Kingston’s Icons of Photography Web site beginning today. Each month, Kingston spotlights a world-class photographer who provides helpful tips and interesting anecdotes for taking better pictures. Photographer Peter Read Miller on Kingston's IconsPeter Read Miller - Sport photographer
Peter has been shooting for Sports Illustrated for more than 20 years and has more than 90 covers to his credit. He has spent many hours at the world’s greatest sporting events, capturing fast-moving action on the field. For this month’s technique, Miller talks about how slowing down to take a portrait on the sidelines or in the studio can reveal a lot about an athlete - whether it’s the MVP in the Super Bowl or in your family.

Kingston 100x Ultimate CF cards
“Digital imaging has definitely had a positive impact on how I work and I think how journalists in general work today,” said Peter Read Miller. “For me, working with Kingston was perfect because they offered me a complete solution for all my storage and image capture needs. Thanks to the combination of 100x Ultimate CF cards and a Kingston memory upgrade in my computer, I am capturing, storing and sharing pictures faster than ever before,” added Miller.

Kingston - Speed & Reliability
”Speed and reliability are the cornerstone of Kingston’s heritage and what has made it a trusted brand among professional photographers,” says Wendy Lecot, Flash memory marketing manager, Kingston. “Photographers rarely have a second chance to capture life as it unfolds before their eyes. Having the right tools to ensure they get it right the first time is paramount and their use of Kingston quality products means they can concentrate on their subjects, not their equipment,” added Lecot.

Photographer Peter Read Miller - Editorial clients
Photography started as a hobby for Peter Read Miller in high school. He attended college at the University of Southern California where he shot for both the yearbook and athletic department. In addition to Sports Illustrated, Peter’s other editorial clients include: Time, Life, People, Money, Playboy, Runner’s World, USA Weekend and The New York Times. Peter’s advertising clients include: Nike, Adidas, Footlocker, Eastman Kodak, ABC Television, Panasonic, Coca-Cola, Visa, The National Football League Properties and Canon Cameras.
