PanasonicPanasonic SDR-S150 Camcorder : Building on the success of the award-winning SDR-S100, Panasonic is pleased to introduce the SDR-S150 camcorder SD Video Camera. As with the S100, the S150 records onto a postage sized SD memory card. The SD card has made it possible to create a video camera so small it can sit in your palm or slip into a pocket or handbag, it’s a camcorder you can take anywhere and use anytime. The ultra-compact S150 is packed full of Panasonic’s smartest digital technologies to give you clear, vivid true-to-life images every time you shoot. The S150 improves on its predecessor by accepting the new 4GB SDHC Memory Card, a next-generation media that allows recording for up to 3 hours and 20 minutes.

The S150 packs a wealth of Panasonic's top image-enhancing technologies into a conveniently small, easy-to-handle body. The 3CCD camera system, the type used in most professional broadcast equipment delivers superb colour reproduction, finer detail and richer gradation which means image quality and impact is true to life when compared with conventional 1CCD camera systems. The SDR-S150 also incorporates Optical Image Stabiliser (O.I.S) - a benefit generally reserved for prosumer cameras. O.I.S gives you crisp, clear shots in scenes where blurring used to be a problem, resulting in crisp, clear, beautiful moving pictures and still images. Perfect for summer barbeques, when handshake is often increased due to a few celebratory drinks! The benefit of O.I.S is especially noticeable when zooming and shooting in dim light conditions.

Leica Dicomar Lens - Panasonic SDR-S150
Leica Camera AG is renowned by photographers world-wide as a maker of superb cameras and lenses. Now this legendary optical technology fuses with Panasonic’s advanced digital technology in the Leica Dicomar Lens. The S150’s brilliant new lens features 12 lens elements in 8 groups and uses low-dispersion optical glass to reduce chromatic aberration. A special multi-coating process is applied to 14 lens surfaces, minimising harmful reflections to deliver crisp, clear images free of flare and ghosting. Leica is a registered trademark of Leica Microsystem IR GmbH, and Dicomar is a registered trademark of Leica Camera AG.

Panasonic Crystal Engine digital signal processing
Furthermore, Panasonic’s original advanced Crystal Engine image-processing circuitry helps deliver maximum performance from the CCD camera system. The Crystal Engine - the brain of the camera - processes the signal from each of the three CCDs independently. The Crystal Engine digital signal processing LSI suppresses noise and enhances the resolution. Added to this, advanced MPEG2 delivers outstanding pictures, even when shooting fast-moving subjects.

Panasonic S150 - 4GB SDHC Memory Card Compatible
Taking advantage of the small, solid-state SD Memory Card, the S150 is tough as well as compact. Because there’s no mechanism in the recording section, the S150 provides excellent resistance to shock perfect for extreme sports enthusiasts. Designed for easy use, transferring data from the S150 is as quick and easy as inserting the SD Memory Card into a PC. No need for cable connections and finalization, the SD card allows non-linear editing right after recording. For extended high-quality recording, the S150 also accepts the new 4GB SDHC (SD High-Capacity) Memory Card, which conforms to SD Specifications Version 2.00. With the 4GB card, it can record up to around 50 minutes of moving images in high-quality XP mode or 3 hours and 20 minutes in LP mode. Because the SDHC standard guarantees the minimum data speed performance, it guarantees stable, consecutive recording of moving images and other types of large-volume data. With the SDR-S150, Panasonic has introduced a video camera that offers impressive image quality and performance in a package that is compact, convenient, and extremely easy to use.
