BenQBenQ PB8253 and PB8263 professional projector : BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today launched its new PB8263/PB8253 digital projectors. Both installation projectors feature intense brightness levels, strong image quality, 2000:1 contrast ratio, native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and BenQ's Application Modes that enable consumers to manually select between eight custom modes that switch the projector's settings to fit varying presentation environments and maximize performance. The PB8263 features its brightest projector offering with 4000 ANSI lumens, a digital zoom ratio of 1.22:1 while modestly priced at $2,999. Both of these professional-grade projectors are compatible with the popular video signals.

HDTV and NTSC and feature PC-RGB analog D-sub, DVI, Component, S-Video and Composite video and audio inputs. With a price tag of $2,599, the PB8253 offers high brightness at 3500 ANSI lumens and a manual zoom. The BenQ PB8263 and the BenQ PB8253 offers a "High Altitude Mode" that is specially designed for extreme environment, such as high altitude or high temperatures. Additionally, the projector comes equipped with different preset modes including "Cinema Mode," to optimize projection settings to accommodate home theater applications, and "Economic Mode," that adjusts power levels to help save lamp life.

In addition, these high-performance units deliver high-end color quality through a unique color-matching technology that features BenQ's proprietary Golden Ratio Color Wheel, which balances true color saturation and maximizes color accuracy to achieve the sRGB (standard Red Green Blue) specification. Defined by Microsoft and HP, sRGB creates color-matching between applications and hardware devices, such as monitors, scanners, printers and digital cameras to ensure that whatever users see on their computer screen will be exactly the same as what they will get from their projector.
