ApplePay Cash may soon be available in New Zealand and Malaysia : At the time of the introduction of iOS 11 in June 2017 Apple announced its enhanced Pay service would only be available in the USA. But last week we found out Apple filed a trademark application for Pay Cash in Europe. Now it seems the American company will expand its P2P service even further in the short term, as Apple filed the same trademark application in New Zealand and Malaysia for the Asia-Pacific region. Apple Pay is already available in New Zealand, Australia, mainland China, HongKong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan. It seems Pay Cash will soon be supported in all of these countries, most likely Apple will announce this news on September 12, when the new iPhones are expected.
Apple Pay Cash trademark

Apple Pay Cash trademark
Apple divides the world in three regions; USA/Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific, with the new trademark applications it seems Apple will launch its Pay Cash service 'worldwide' at the time of the new iPhone introduction, on September 12.

Apple Pay is currently not yet available in Malaysia. The trademark application suggests Malaysia may soon be added to the list of countries that offer Apple Pay support.

The trademark application was filed by Apple Inc themselves and is still under examination at the New Zealand Intellectual Property Office and at MyIPO (for the Asean TMview database). You can download the trademark application here and here.

The application is classified as "Financial services; financial transaction services; bill payment services; providing secure commercial transactions; credit and debit card services; payment authorization, verification, and transaction processing services; electronic payment and funds transfer services".
