The certification does not reveal any details on the specifications of the new Galaxy tablet, but it does indicate the tablet will soon be introduced. Samsung has organized a press event on Augustus 30, 2017, prior to the IFA 2017.

The current Galaxy Active features a 8 inch display, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor and a 3.1 megapixel camera. The rugged tablet also comes with an S Pen, users can even operate the Tab Active with gloves on.

According to a recently published report, rugged devices with a display size less than 10-inches have been witnessing huge demand and they are expected to hold the major market share until 2023. Samsung will therefore most likely hold on to the 8-inches for its Galaxy Tab Active 2 device.
