Huawei and Honor smartphones will feature full-screen display : Many 2017 smartphone models feature a completely new design, small bezels and large screens are the trend for this year. The displays even get names, like the Samsung Intinity display for the S8 series or the LG FullVision display for the G6. Although the Huawei P10 had regular bezels, it is said that the new Mate 10 will be Huawei´s first phone with small bezels. It seems Huawei has choosen the name EntireView Display. This name has recently been patented by Huawei at the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Now two more names appear in the EU database; Honor View and Honor Vision.

The patent was exclusively delivered to us by our Dutch colleagues Mobielkopen.net, who found the application on the website of the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Honor's first smartphone to get equipped with a bezel-less screen is the Honor Note 9, which is expected later this year. According to the rumors, this full-screen smartphone incorporates a massive 6.6 inch (QHD) screen and the new HiSilicon Kirin 965 chipset.
The predecessor of this device, the Honor Note 8, was unveiled in August last year, it probably doesn't take much longer for the new model to be presented. We expect the Huawei Honor Note 9 smartphone to be introduced in Berlin during IFA 2017.
