Sharp to unveil 65-inch 4K Android TV at IFA 2017

IFAIFA 2017: Sharp LCD-65SU760 Aquos TV - Yet another product gets unveiled before the official release date. This time the Sharp LCD-65SU760 pops up in the IFA press bank. It´s a beautifully crafted 4K Android TV which will make its debut on the IFA 2017, the annual trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances takes place from 1 - 6 September in Berlin, Germany. For years IFA has been the place for television manufacturers to introduce their new innovations. The new Sharp SU760 is a Aquos TV. The 65-inch flat-panel LCD TV is just 9.5mm thick and has a stylish standard. The premium TV offers a 4K (3840x2160 pixels) resolution and an image ratio of 16:9. In addition, the new Sharp TV comes with the Android operating system and built-in WiFi.

The Android operating system lets you play Android games, use apps and stream videos. In addition, this 4K Android TV is provided with voice search and Google Chromecast for media streaming. Also, the Sharp LCD-65SU760A delivers a wonderful sound experience thanks to Dolby Audio and DTS 2.0 + digital out support.

The new Sharp LCD TV offers LED backlight. In addition three HDMI interfaces are available, the Sharp Android TV also offers support for a SD or SDHC memory card as well as USB. The new 65-inch TV has dimensions of 91.6 x 145.1 x 30.9 cm (HxBxD) and a weight of 23kg (including standard).

Sharp has scheduled a press conference on Thursday, August 31 at the IFA Messe. In the week thereafter, the 4K LCD TV will be showcased at the IFA 2017 in Berlin.

The premium TV will carry a friendly price tag of 10.999 Chinese yuan, which is about $1.650 USD / € 1.400. It's unclear when the new Aquos TV will be put to market.

Sharp smart TV returns to the U.S. market
Last month TheJapanTimes reported Sharp will return to the U.S. market next year. After selling the distribution rights of its Aquos label last year, Sharp will introduce a complete new TV line-up in 2018. The new LCD TV brand will be a step up above Aquos in terms of quality.
