NikonNikon D850 specifications and pictures : The D850 DSLR will soon be introduced, which is no surprise since Nikon confirmed this news through a press release last month. The Japanese manufacturer did not reveal a lot of details about its new full-frame camera, except for the camera to offer a higher resolution and a higher speed than the widely acclaimed D810. But time did not stand still, in the meantime a lot of details surfaced, thanks to a leaked Nikon presentation. In addition, the release date of the Nikon D850 is known. Let´s put all the specs together.

Nikon D850 specs
The Nikon D850 is a digital SLR camera for the (semi) professional photographer. For a long time, the resolution of this new FX format camera was unclear, according to the latest rumors the SLR will feature a 45.8 MP full-frame CMOS sensor. A decent upgrade compared to the 36.3 megapixels of the D810.

The SLR camera has an ISO range of 64-25,600, expandable up to ISO 32 - 108,400. The new D850 can shoot continuously at a speed of 7 fps. With a battery grip you can even capture 9 images per second. The camera has a RAW buffer of 51 images (in 14-bit RAW).

Nikon's new full-frame camera will feature a 3.2-inch tiltable display and an optical viewfinder with an impressive 0,75x magnification. In addition, the D5 autofocus system seems to be integrated too, a very accurate AF with 153 focus points.

The Nikon D850 also provides professional performance when it comes to video, in addition to 4K videos, it is expected that the camera can record 8K Time-lapse videos. This has never been shown before. Furthermore, the camera can make 120fps slow motion videos.

The D850 body is lighter than the D810 and comes with two memory card slots. The Nikon SLR camera will also provide improved battery performance.

Nikon D850 release date & price
If all these specs turn out to be right, Nikon will again launch a very impressive camera. We will have to wait until August 24, 2017, that´s the release date of this new Full-Frame camera.

The Nikon D850 will be introduced exactly in time for the IFA 2017, the consumer electronics show takes place from 1 - 6 September in Berlin, Germany.

The price of the Nikon D850 body will probably not differ much from the D810 introductory price. In 2014, the D810 carried a suggested retail price of € 3.300 euro (body only).
