SamsungGalaxy Note 7 becomes Galaxy Note FE : It has been known for some time that Samsung will re-launch its refurbished Galaxy Note 7. After the battery problems last year, the smartphone has been revised and renamed Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Galaxy Note FE). The phablet comes with a new 3200 mAh battery, which has successfully met Samsung's strict test procedure. Also, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition features the same software as the Galaxy S8 smartphones, which includes the Bixby Assistant. From the end of this week, the Samsung Note Fan Edition will be available in South Korea, at a later stage, the phone will also be available in some other countries.

Like the previous Note phablets, the Fan Edition will also feature the S Pen, by using this stylus pen users can make notes or drawings. The S Pen is more sensitive than before and also works when the smartphone is locked, to make notes even more quickly.

In addition, the Galaxy Note FE is provided with an iris scanner, which debuted in the Note 7 last year. The smartphone is IP68 dust and waterproof. The Note Fan Edition features the same cameras as the S8 models.

Price & Availability
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition is the result of an environmentally friendly project for which as many as possible recycled components of the Galaxy Note 7 were used. Samsung intends to sell 400,000 copies in South Korea. A small number, when you consider that last year 550.000 Galaxy Note 7 pre-orders were placed in just two days in South Korea only.

The Samsung Galaxy Note FE gets a recommended retail price of 699,600 Won (€535 / $610) and is available in four different colors; Coral Blue, Platinum Gold, Titanium Silver and Onyx Black. The Fan Edition comes bundled with a Clear View Cover in the same color as the smartphone itself.
