Samsung Dex brings Galaxy S8 phone to desktop

Galaxy S8Samsung Dex desktop station for 2017 Galaxy S8 phone series : Samsung Mobile Electronics introduces innovative Dex station for their latest premium mobile devices. Samsung announced DeX to improve productivity for mobile professionals while reducing the need to carry multiple computing devices. Compatible with the 2017 Galaxy S8 phone series, Samsung DeX station provides an Android-based desktop-like experience that enables users to easily access applications, edit word documents, browse the internet, watch movies and much more, directly from the Galaxy S8 phone on a larger display, keyboard and mouse. The Galaxy S8 DeX station provides the connectivity professionals need, including two USB 2.0, Ethernet, USB type-C power-in and a built-in cooling fan.

The Samsung DeX desktop station also features Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) functionality to supercharge your Galaxy S8 phone while connected to the base-station. Samsung DeX also allows Galaxy S8 phone owners to remotely and securely access virtual desktops through partner solutions including Citrix, VMware and Amazon Web Services. It’s redesigned Android interface is optimized for use with a keyboard and mouse and includes multiple re-sizable windows, contextual menus and a desktop internet browser. To start working, users simply insert their Galaxy S8 phone into the Samsung DeX Station, which connects the phone to an HDMI compatible monitor, and connect to any Bluetooth-enabled, USB or RF-type keyboard and mouse. The Samsung DeX desktop station will be available globally with the Galaxy S8 phone and may be offered as a package bundle depending on the region.
