At 15.9mm thin and weighing a mere 2.3 pounds, the 13.3-inch Portégé X30 is 11-percent thinner and 13-percent lighter than its award-winning predecessor. While the 14-inch Tecra X40 checks in at 16.9mm thin and 2.76 pounds and rivals the dimensions of many 13-inch notebooks. These extremely compact form factors position both the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 as the ideal solution for any professional computing environment. Toshiba designed these premium notebooks to meet the performance demands of the modern workplace through the adoption of 7th Generation Intel Core Processors and Windows 10 Pro. Users have the latest processing technology and most robust operating systems on the market. Users will also find Full HD (1920 x 1080) multi-touch wide viewing angle displays, Intel 802.11ac Wi-Fi, solid state drives and batteries with extended life ratings.

Toshiba notebook security features
Toshiba equipped both the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 with biometric and facial authentication technologies to deliver an advanced level of security and differentiate the notebooks from the competition. The first component is a new Touchpad with a built-in fingerprint sensor called SecurePad with Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensor. The second element, found on both the notebooks, is the integration of IR cameras to allow for facial authentication via Windows Hello face sign-in. Together, these security elements are personal, secure and a password-free way to quickly log-in to your laptop device. Another advanced security feature offered is Toshiba’s proprietary BIOS, available in all business laptops and speeds customization while helping to deliver stable PC performance, enhanced system security and reduced risk of unauthorized access.

Toshiba Portégé X30 and Tecra X40
The Toshiba notebooks have been designed, engineered and rigorously tested in dedicated Toshiba facilities to deliver greater peace of mind and proven reliability. To increase everyday protection and scratch resistance, the two notebooks feature a premium magnesium alloy ToughBody chassis, shock-absorbing design and unique honeycomb reinforcement for increased durability. Even with slim profiles, Toshiba was able to outfit the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 with 2 USB Type-C ports, USB 3.0 port, an HDMI, and a microSD memory card slot as well as a headphone / mic combo port. The USB Type-C port features reversible plug orientation and supports Display, Power Delivery and Thunderbolt 3 with speeds up to 40Gbps.
