PhotokinaPhotokina News : Just two months to go before Photokina 2016 kicks off in Cologne, Germany. This fair is held once every two years and is among the most important for the photo, video and imaging industry. More than 1,000 international companies will show their latest innovations here. This year´s Photokina is dominated by ´Imaging Unlimited´ with several multimedia events and more interaction possibilities than ever before. New digital cameras and video cameras can be tested by visitors at the Photokina Zoom area, where various creative scenes are created to photograph. In addition, interesting new product innovations are expected, such as Smart Home features in the camera.

New camera innovations, including Smart Home features, should encourage the young audience to occupy themselves with photography, even beyond the options of a smartphone camera. Prior to Photokina 2016, people can already follow several photo and video workshops in Cologne upcoming month. Professionals and amateurs, adults and children, everyone can learn lots of tips and tricks on how to take photographs and make videos correctly.

During the past months many Photokina rumors have surfaced. Below is a list of expected Photokina 2016 camera announcements. Canon will most likely introduce the EOS 5D Mark IV, a new mirrorless SLR camera, and a new compact zoom camera, probably the PowerShot SX100 HS. Nikon will use Photokina 2016 to announce both an entry-level and a mid-range SLR camera, the Nikon D3500 and D620. Furthermore, there is talk of a Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera. Sony also will come with a new set of camera introductions, including the Alpha 9, Alpha 99 II, Alpha 7 III and the Cybershot DSC RX100 V. Panasonic seems to present the new Lumia DMC GH5 and the Lumix DMC-LX200 at Photokina 2016. Olympus will exhibit its new E-M1 II camera and Fujifilm have already announced the X-T2 through an official press release.
