SharpSharp AQUOS 4K Ultra HD LED TVs : At CE Week Sharp introduced their first wave of 2015 entertainment products that will provide consumers more quality high resolution entertainment options for both large screen TVs and high resolution audio. Continuing to innovate in the high resolution, large screen TV market, the new UD27 line of Sharp AQUOS 4K Ultra HD LED TVs will be available in both 60-inch and 70-inch class screen sizes with unique picture quality technologies, a premium design and Sharp’s leading Smart Central 3.0 Smart TV platform. The new Sharp AQUOS 4K Ultra HD LED TV represents the state of the art in large screen TVs, combining unbeatable picture quality, a cutting edge smart platform, and gorgeous design. With a native 3840x2160 resolution, the new Sharp AQUOS 4K TVs are expected to feature THX 4K certification for picture quality. Sharp’s AQUOS 4K Ultra HD UD1 line was the first 4K TV to receive THX certification when introduced in 2013. The Sharp AQUOS 4K Ultra HD LED TVs will also feature the new SPECTROS Rich Color Display technology, for a 21% wider color spectrum than conventional LED HD-TVs for more realistic landscapes, lush nature scenes, and natural skin tones.

Sharp’s new AquoDimming technology automatically enhances contrast and detail in HD images, so you never miss a detail, even in dark scenes, while Sharp’s proprietary Revelation Upscaler seamlessly displays images from any HD source at gorgeous UHD resolution. With HEVC (H.265), the latest encoding technology, the UD27 TV is able to play 4K streaming content from streaming content providers, such as Netflix. All four HDMI inputs can accept native 4K (3840x2160 pixel) signals, at up to 60 frames per second (fps) transmission. The Sharp AQUOS UD27 line meets all of the criteria for the updated Ultra HD definition that were announced by CEA this week.
