GoogleHTC Google Nexus 9 Android tablet : Halfway through this week the annual Google I/O Conference will be held in San Francisco, the perfect location for the launch of new Google products. If we may believe the rumors, the Nexus 9 will be announced, a new Android tablet developed in cooperation with HTC. Remarkably, since HTC has not released any tablet since 2011. The usually well-informed website Android Police has revealed some more information about the new HTC Nexus 9, the tablet will feature a 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2.048x.440 pixels (with 281ppi) and a new 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor (2.5Ghz) with 2GB RAM. Further specifications of the HTC Nexus 9 include a 8 MP camera with image stabilization, a 3 MP front-camera and front-facing stereo-speakers.

Google Nexus series to an end?
The new HTC Nexus 9 will most likely be the last Nexus product from Google. Herewith HTC will start and close the successful series. The Nexus line-up was created in 2010 to promote the Android operating system. Now that Google has succeeded, it is time for the Android Silver line-up to replace the Nexus series. The Android Silver series will consist of high-end smartphones and tablets developed by Google in cooperation with other manufacturers.

Google I/O Conference
On Wednesday and Thursday 25/26 June the Google I/O Conference will be held in San Francisco. Besides the new Nexus 9 we may also expect a new Android version (Android 5.0). In addition, various leaked information tells us that the company will also introduce new wearables with a new Android Wear OS.
