NewsPortable printers for Android and Apple smartphones : Leading mobile point-of-sale device provider Infinite Peripherals, introduced an upgraded line of three mobile printers that support the Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, along with mobile devices that utilize the Android operating system, version 2.1 or higher. The new MFi-certified models directly support the iOS and Android operating systems, without requiring expensive AirPrint support. The portable printers are ideal for mobile point-of-sale receipts, coupons, lab results, labels (DPP-450) and more. The new DPP printer line delivers value and convenience for multiple mobile printing needs.

As the first company to enable Apple products with mobile point-of-sale functionality with the revolutionary Linea Pro and Infinea Tab, Infinite Peripherals understands market demands, the explosion of mobility across numerous industries and the absolute necessity of keeping pace with the rapid development cycles of smartphones and tablets. The DPP-250 is a 2” receipt mobile printer, the DPP-350 is a 3” receipt model and the DPP-450 utilizes 4” thermal paper or labels. Each runs on a rechargeable, long-life Li-Ion battery that yields approximately 20,000-30,000 lines per charge. A magnetic stripe reader and Bluetooth communication are available on the DPP-250 and DPP-350; the DPP-450 offers optional Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Communications also are available via RS232C and USB, v. 1.1 and compatible with 2.0.

Three new mobile printers
All portable printer models include two resident fonts and two loadable fonts, along with several resident 1D and 2D barcodes; and resolution is 203 dpi. Printing speed on the DPP-250 and DPP-350 is 60mms/sec, and 150 mms/sec on the DPP-450. The DPP-450 model also has a LCD display, a label gap sensor and label peeler and an integrated belt clip. The portable printers all support the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPod touch (5th, 4th and 3rd generations), Apple iPad (4th and 3rd generations), iPad mini and iPad 2. Depending on options, suggested pricing for the DPP-250 ranges from $299-$349; for the DPP-350, from $429-$479; and for the DPP-450, $699.
