NewsLamborghini Antares limited edition Android smartphone : The Italian luxury Group, Tonino Lamborghini, has announced the launch of a new limited edition smartphone, Antares, which will be available from December this year. The legendary lifestyle and accessories Group has developed the new smartphone for the luxury mobile segment by combining the technology platform Android and quad core processor, with its signature Italian craftsmanship and scratch proof Gorilla Glass screen. Tonino Lamborghini’s smartphone Antares will be available in limited edition from around $4,000 USD, which defines a new segment in luxury mobiles aimed at modern, high income men and women that demand the highest quality smartphone with both looks and performance being of equal importance.

Technically, Antares is built to justify its performance smartphone tagline, by matching luxury furnishings with a high-performance quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card slot with up to 32 GB (included). The sound system is provided by an in-built Yamaha amplifier and speakers. Antares also has a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras with full HD video (1080p), that produce stunningly clear image of photo and video images. The thickness of the smartphone is 13.5 mm and its four-inch high-resolution display is protected by tempered glass with a high shock and scratch resistance (Gorilla Glass).

Antares uses the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform and a complimentary interface designed exclusively for Tonino Lamborghini. The Android operating system will allow the owner to access the full range of Google mobile products and functionality, including millions of apps, games, books and videos contained within Google Play, making Antares the ideal platform for business and pleasure. The Lamborghini Antares Android smartphone will be released in limited edition, with a unique serial number appearing on the back of every cell phone. This, truly signifying the exceptionality of this luxury smartphone and the selected few will be able to fully appreciate its exclusivity, performance and complimentary Italian design.

Sales for the Lamborghini smartphone are scheduled to begin in December in the Russian Federation and China. The smartphone will be available in Italy, The United Kingdom and The United States from Spring 2014. The price of the luxury phone will range around 4,000 US dollars. Antares is the first in a series of new and unique mobile solutions from Tonino Lamborghini. The company will subsequently release a further series of mobile products aimed at successful independent people searching for a unique identity and luxury items with genuine character and true performance.
